In Week 1, the Colts had three turnovers, with a pair of them being released in the form of Andrew Luck interceptions. Luck finished 26-of-46 with 243 yards as well as touchdowns contrary to the Bills. New Colts Andre Johnson and Frank Gore had mediocre debuts for Indianapolis, with Johnson catching just four passes for 24 yards and Gore totaling eight rushes for 31 yards.
The Jets defeated the Browns 31–10 in Week 1 behind quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick's 179 yards and a couple touchdowns in their first game with New York. Running back Chris Ivory ran for 91 yards as well as touchdowns, while newcomer Brandon Marshall had 62 yards receiving and something touchdown.
New York has won its last two matchups with Indianapolis, which consists of last victory from the Colts being released 2012. In the 35–9 win, the Jets sacked Luck 4x and intercepted him twice.
