NL Wild-Card Game To Start At 7:08 P.M. CT On Oct. 7

The National League wild-card game will begin at 7:08 p.m. CT on Oct. 7, MLB announced Thursday. As it sits now, the Cubs have been in line to deal with the Pirates for the reason that game, that is televised on TBS.

With a magic volume of two, Chicago (89-63) could clinch its first postseason berth since 2008 after Friday, with regards to the outcome of San Francisco’s games in the next 48 hrs. As of Thursday afternoon, St. Louis held a four-game lead over Pittsburgh along with a seven-game lead over Chicago within the NL Central with 10 games left to learn.

Starting Friday, the Cubs host the Pirates in the three-game series at Wrigley Field. If the two teams finish the growing season with the same record, the Cubs would host the wild-card game because they’ve already clinched the growing season series.

If on the exterior chance that Pittsburgh runs down St. Louis the ones two teams finish with identical records, they’d play a 163rd game to make a decision the NL Central champion. The loser of this game would then participate in the Cubs from the win-or-go-home wild-card game.

It’s widely expected that Pittsburgh’s Gerrit Cole and Chicago’s Jake Arrieta is going to take the hill within the NL wild-card game, as each team has arranged its ace to begin with the contest.

The AL wild-card game are going to be played Oct. 6 and initiate at 7:08 p.m. CT. It is going to be televised by ESPN.
